Monthly Archives: June 2017

Another piece of the very big puzzle….

We spent the last few days packing, going to Trey’s baseball game and helping Jamie finish configuring her hardware on her furniture flip

Martin’s old employees came by to pick up some gang boxes and tools.

The best part was Balt’s daughter was buying a new home and is starting from scratch. So since she didn’t mind hand me downs Susan and I walked through the house. She took artwork, end table, coffee table, blender, half round table, dishes and lots of greenery. It was so nice to pay forward to someone in need.

Mulqueen came on Friday to break down the quilting machine.

The house looked so naked without it.

Monday Two men and a Truck came to move the spare bedroom furniture to Marty and Shawna’s house.

Monday night we finished loading the trailer. It was 109 that day. Yes we were melting. Molly wasn’t sure about this move but I promised her it would be a beautiful place.

With the last of my machines, fabric and supplies loaded Tuesday morning we hit the road by 5:00am. Joyce’s stuff equals 3 trailer loads full.

Mulqueen pulled in right behind us and the fun began.

Piece by piece they put the machine back together again. Just like Humpty Dumpty.

As Martin carried in one piece of furniture and set it down in the bedroom. Tears came to my eyes. I can see the finish line but we still have many fun hurdles to jump over.

I told Martin the first thing I am going to quilt is a new quilt for our bed.

Martin has already hung up monitors and TV’s 📺.

It has been raining ☔️ on and off this afternoon. The air is fresh and clean. There’s no place like home 🏡

Till next time….

Wahoooooo…

We started the day early.  Putting together the battery rack.

It’s always good to read directions

Progress one tier at a time.

With the rack complete time to open our presents.

All tucked in there so nice and tight. Snug as 6 bugs in a box 📦

Martin started on his own to lift the little monsters. Then our big strong neighbors stopped by to give a hand. No need for that engine hoist we put together when have great friends.

They would bring them in one by one by wheel barrow. Then lift them into place.

After all was done a big boy chat is always good.

Funny how they all talked with their hands on their hips.

We unloaded fabric and machines.

Martin and Ron put together this wooden magic machine mover. Worked like a dream.  Otherwise you are two Chinese people shuffling along taking baby steps. The person on the motor side has all the weight and the frame at their feet.

I rolled out the floor clear coat while Martin worked on the rack of batteries.

Some big girl decided to do exploring on my newly rolled floor. I came unglued for a moment then while I cleaned her paws we laughed. More character is what this home needs. This floor can tell so many stories.

After that adventure I came to help Martin with the bus bar connections.

Bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts. Repeat, repeat, repeat and repeat. Together we busted it out in no time. Now he is still reading directions and torque wrenching the nuts.  He has looked forward to this day for two years.

Fabric is put away. And two of my Cubbies are built. Three more Cubbies to go.

It has been a super busy couple of days and we will continue on this pace till closing of escrow June 20. We head home early tomorrow. Mulqueen is coming to break down my quilting machine then we head back up Tuesday for them to deliver it. The elephant gets smaller everyday as we take little bites here and there.

While I was blogging Martin finished up the rack.

Ta daaaaaaa…..,

Till next time…..
