Wait, wait, wait…..

Monday morning we headed back to Gilbert. Kansas was so happy to see us. We had a great dinner with great friends, Devin and John.

Tuesday we just enjoyed the warm weather. Did a little shopping and a little work. Measuring the new Cardinals Cheerleaders.

Wednesday was family time. Dinner with the Treat family.

And of course Frost! Then it was baseball time.

Little Tanner is Grammies favorite youngest grandson.

Thursday was full of doctors appointments and driving. Kansas was so excited to know she will be sleeping her own bed. We got home very late so it was not an early start to our day.

As I wrote this blog I just got boomed!!!!

Marcus sent me a picture of the new sign just posted at volleyball facility.

And then BOOM, another one.

Do you think if I shaved Kansas legs and dressed her up in a dress and a hat she would pass?

Till next time…..

Final day of racing…..

Race day brought a special treat of being down on the start line for some interviews.

The announcer was a hoot.

The mascot was one hot dude.

Greg Anderson …..

Steve Torrence….

A little sticky track walk.

Martin and I had a blast all weekend.

Met interesting people.

We made it all the way to the finish line and back with our shoes still on!

These were my picks for the weekend which landed me on top again for the second week in a row in our fantasy league. What a way to end the weekend. Being a winner! And beating the boys.

Martin finish 3rd!!!!

Till next time…..

A little bit of Vegas……

Saturday was more rumble racing.

But first stop Pawn Stars. We love this show.

The store looked the same in person as it does on TV.

We even ran into Rick there. He didn’t have much to say.

We still had little time before we wanted to be at the track so we did a little antiquing.

After an afternoon of racing we headed out to Fremont Street.

You talk about weird people well you can find them here.

Yum yum time. Martin wasn’t impressed but I enjoyed my little bites.

As the sun went down. The lights came on.

So it was time to get horizontal. Just like when we were younger. When the street lights came on it was time to go home. Aka hotel!

Till next time…..

Drag Day…..

No we are not dressing up in drag! We are attending NHRA drag racing 4 wide in Las Vegas baby!

But first stop Welderup.

We took a behind the scenes tour

Some of the most amazing rat rods.

The cancer car created for Steve’s friends child. Such detail.

Loved the character in the Joker car.

So much to take in in one visit.

The bus!!!

This is only a small portion of the pictures I took. And I wish I could download the videos of the cars running cause they were amazing.

We got to chat with Steve and Justin afterwards. Very down to earth people.

Then off to the drags!!!!!!

The rumbling you felt as the 4 cars went by was off the charts. Everything and I mean everything vibrated.

Till next time…..

Two weeks off……

Due to fabric delays on a special project for the Suns, Martin and I left early to deliver the special project.

This gave us the opportunity to spend time with the family.

Jamie, Mika and I went junkin’ while the boys went to baseball practice.

Monday we had eye appointments. And Tuesday meant for me bowling with Shawna. While the boys had baseball practice again.
My dear friend Marie was there so I surprised her.

Nothing like sneaking up behind someone and laying a bunch of kisses on her cheek. It’s been 4 years since I’ve seen her.

Wednesday was time for shopping then volleyball with Mika.

This beautiful brand new facility was created with our son in laws input.

This little girl caused Marcus’ blood pressure to raise.

No dogs allowed on school property.

Thursday we headed west for Vegas. Beautiful weather. First stop Gordon Ramsey’s Steak.

On this day 4-4 Martin asked me to go steady 44 years ago. Our reservation was at 4:45pm. We didn’t plan it. It just happened.

We sat up stairs with this view.

We ordered the tasting menu paired with wine.

First up champagne!

At this point we were sooooooo full! Roll us out of there.
Martin said the next day would be the most expensive shit ever. It deserved a throne and not a port a potty!
He was right. Expensive but worth every bite. You only live once so while we can we will.
Till next time……Joyce.
